Suzuki superstar Doug Gust has hooked up with Traxxas to promote the brand’s monster trucks to the huge quad scene. Naturally, the idea is to get them into T-Maxxes and Revos, but this sort of promotion is great not just for Traxxas but for everyone in the RC biz.
Young guns Cody King and Ryan Lutz who both race for Kyosho America will be running Sirio engines and KO Propo radio gear in ’07. More info here.
Kyosho and Sirio dominated the 1/8 scale class at the 2007 Winternats. Josh Cyrul took the TQ honors in 1/8 with Chris Tosolini close behind. As always, the Ft. Myers track is a fuel mileage race in qualifying but Josh solved the puzzle by getting it done in one tank… (more)
The RC8 is now official. Team Associated has announced that the much anticipated AE brand 1/8-scale buggy is on the way. No real specifics yet, but they have also announced which pros will be make up the team fielding the RC8. Keep checking back for more information. More info here.
SpeedMerchant won all three 1/12-scale classes at this year’s ROAR On-road Carpet Nationals. Donny Lia won stock, Ray Darroch took 19-turn and Mike Dumas took top honors in Modified. More info here.
Mike Truhe has really picked up his game in nitro off-road, and can now add two new victories to his growing resume. Truhe won 1/10-scale Gas Truck and 1/8-scale Buggy. Truhe was even in contention in the Truggy class, but that win went to Cody King. More info here.
