Team Losi cars dominated the ROAR Modified Off-Road Nationals again this year sweeping two of the three classes with sensational 1st-2nd-3rd place finishes. Ohio racer and Team Losi driver Jesse Robbers took on the best factory racers in 2WD by setting a blistering pace with his Team Losi XXX-BK2 to claim the top qualifier spot. Jesse went on to win the National Championship title with a perfect score of two wins in the triple A-main event. The 4WD class saw the fastest speeds and lap times. The nitro master Adam Drake showed he can wheel an electric buggy as fast as his nitro truck by taking the top qualifying spot with his Team Losi XXX-4. When the dust had cleared from the three A-Main event finals, it was Team Losis Jukka Steenari taking the win. Fellow XXX-4 drivers Adam Drake and Ryan Cavalieri completed yet another Team Losi 1-2-3 sweep of the podium.
Portland, Oregon recently played host to the ROAR 2004 Paved On-road Electric Nationals. The event took place in the Holiday Inn parking lot. The track was wide open with plenty of room for passing. In the end, Atsushi Hara with his Orion powered HPI Pro 4 took TQ and top honors in Touring Car Mod class, and won 1/12-scale Mod as well. Alex Lopez driving a Trinity-powered XRAY won Touring Car Stock. Paul Wynn, piloting a Reedy powered Schumacher Mi2 sedan, took top honors in the 19-turn class. Team Losi drivers made history at the 2002 IFMAR Off-Road World Championships taking the top qualifying position and finishing first and second in both the 2WD and 4WD classes. This years event, held in Pretoria, South Africa, marks the first time a single RC car manufacturer has won and TQd every class at the most prestigious off-road event in the world. Matt Francis and his Trinity-powered Team Losi Triple-X4 prototype and Triple-X buggies took the top qualifying positions in both 4WD and 2WD, and Matt went on to win the 2WD class with teamate Brian Kinwald in tow. Jukka Steenari, the 2000 IFMAR 4WD champ and Team Losis newest engineer, repeated as the 4WD World Champion using Orion power. Matt was a close second in a race that saw Team Losi cars finish 1-2-3-4-5-7-9, and overall, more A-Main finalists at the Worlds used Team Losi cars than all other manufactures combined.
