And here it is on the bench…
The included Mazda 6 shell looks really sharp, and the factory graphics are some of the best I’ve seen–they’re not overdone. It looks good enough to go decal-free, but a full sheet of stickers is included.
That’s not a marshmallow on the chassis, just an over-exposed decal. The Orion LiPo pack isn’t included, but the Novak-built speed control/receiver combo and G20 motor are.
Here’s a closer look at the speed control/receiver and motor. My hat’s off to the factory worker who spends all day bundling the servo leads, that dude cares!
Ball differentials and full ball bearings are standard, along with turnbuckle toe and camber links, a red-anodized aluminum driveshaft, and red-ano’d aluminum shock caps and collars.
Universal-joint driveshafts are fitted at both ends of the car. Broad flats make the turnbuckles easy to adjust.
Axle close-up. The yokes are molded around the steel dogbone and stub-axle. Note how the dogbone flares out to a larger diameter where it meets the yoke.
Kyosho even anodizes the chassis-brace standoffs, giving the TF-5 ReadySet a higher-end look than the typical all-black-plastic RTR. The cast motor mount also supports the driveshaft for a rock-solid drivetrain. Check out that pinion!
