Losi Goes Huge with Mega-Sized, 1/5 Scale Monster Truck XL

Losi Goes Huge with Mega-Sized, 1/5 Scale Monster Truck XL

Monster trucks are already RC’s largest type of vehicle, so when you boost one up to 1/5 scale, it’s REALLY big. Losi’s new Monster XL is over three feet long and tips the scales at nearly 40 pounds, so it’s definitely a serious machine. Available RTR with blue or black graphics, you’ll be ripping it up in no time with 4WD and a Dynamite 29cc gasoline engine that provides long run times. The Monster Truck XL is set to hit stores in July, see below for the official press info.

  1. To my eyes the wheelbase just looks too long for the tyre size and body. That and the conventional RC double wishbone set up makes it a kind of half way house between a racing truck and a monster, with less appeal than either if you ask me.

  2. As much as I’d love something like that, I can’t get myself to spend $1300 on something that will likely be discontinued in just a few years.
