About the author

Simply put, I’m all about nitro. Well, almost. I’m down with electric for crawlers and some indoor racing, but if you really want to get my attention, it better make some smoke and noise. I’m a regular racer and I usually go with 1/8-scale buggy and truggy. When I’m not racing, I am usually fabricating custom parts and even entire vehicles.

Why is dirt oval not that popular?

Aug 04, 2011 16 Comments

I must admit that in all the years that I have been involved in this great hobby of ours, I have never been interested in racing oval or even running a car on an oval track. Going straight and making left turn after left turn just seemed to be pretty boring. They were just one [...]

Will there ever be a short course Worlds?

Jul 27, 2011 2 Comments

With the IFMAR 1/10-scale Electric off-road worlds taking place last weekend, I started thinking. It seems like the few IFMAR world championships that we have are limited to a handful of classes. I assume that the classes that have IFMAR World Championship are the best of the best classes and therefore the most popular ones. [...]

So what is the best day to race?

Jul 22, 2011 4 Comments

There are a lot of tracks around the country and a lot have racing on Saturday or Sunday and some offer racing during the week. For me the best day to race has always been Saturday. It’s simply the best day to race for many reasons. You have plenty of time on Friday night to [...]
