Tip #1:

I like to position myself on the driver’s stand as it relates to the middle of the track. If I’m struggling with a technical part I will try to stand slightly more towards it.

Tip #2:

Try and keep your pit spot nice and tidy. It makes wrenching on your cars much easier. A tidy pit spot is a happy pit spot.

Tip #3:

Always check you’re cars over before going up to race. It doesn’t take long. Are the batteries good, wiring good and no frayed ends, or loose connections, tires properly glued, etc.? It will save a little heartache.

Tip #4:

Never stop learning. Every day’s a school day. Even if your cars are dialed, there’s still always going to be something you could improve on.

Tip #5:

Always listen to advice. It’s usually free so it won’t hurt. Even the pro’s need help every now and then.

Tip #6:

Turn Marshall like you’d like to be turn-marshalled. You’ll usually find the first guy to start shouting at the Marshall is the worst Marshall in the world. Don’t be that guy!
