13 Year Old Rising Star Kamryn Ayers Shines at Cactus Classic

No matter what class you run at the Cactus Classic, you can count on racing the fastest drivers from all over the country. That certainly includes the stock classes, where a win very rightly earns the victor “driver to watch” status. In the Stock 17.5 2WD buggy class, the winner deserves a little extra attention because there’s more to it than “young driver makes good.” This young driver is a she, and thirteen year old Kamryn Ayers had everyone at the Cactus Classic on their feet as she took the win. A single 7-minute A-Main determined the winner, and Kamryn had to fight hard as the lead changed several times on the way to the finish tone. Lest there be any doubt as to her skills, Kamryn also scored the hot lap for the race. Nice work Kamryn, we hope to see you on more podiums in the future–and other young ladies too. One of the best things about RC racing is that gender is neither an advantage nor hurdle, and there’s no need to separate the guys from the gals–may the best person win!
