Reader’s Ride: Gerardo Melchor’s Vaterra Glamis Fear

Jun 05, 2014 No Comments by

This sharp-looking Vaterra Glamis Fear comes to us from Burien, WA and is customized like a full-size Class 1 buggy. Gerardo painted the body and wheels gunmetal gray and flat black and Axial LED white lights . The electronic gear is stock, and a Duratrax Onyx 3S 35C LiPo battery supplies the juice. Gerardo topped it off with flags that he made out of antenna tubes and tape before snapping this great shot on the sand dunes of the Northwest Pacific coast.

If you’d like to submit pics to Readers’ Rides, just email your JPEGs to Don’t down-size the photos, we need ‘em full-res for print.

About the author

I've been involved in RC for over 25 years, and first joined Air Age Media in 1997. I served as Executive Editor until 2008, when I went to work on the manufacturing side of the RC biz. Now back at RC Car Action, I'm thrilled to be doing what I love most--not just enjoying RC, but sharing it with all of you. In addition to RC, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Kathleen and our wonderful daughter Audrey.
