Tamiya fans know to keep an eye on the “Coming Soon” page at TamiyaUSA.com, where the the latest models make their debut. The most recent entries include a rear-drive configured M-06 platform that repurposes the Midnight Pumpkin as a street-ready machine now dubbed the Lowride Pumpkin. The snowplow front bumper could stand to be sleeker, but when it comes to protecting the injection-molded “hard” body, bigger is definitely better. Expect the pavement Pumpkin to hit stores by the end of summer.

On the shaft-driven touring car front, the TB-04 will soon be offered with a Lexus RC F shell in Eneos Sustina trim. This version gets the IFS shock configuration, which stands for “inboard front suspension” and lays the front shocks down, F1-style.

More classic plastic as the Hornet returns once again, this time in Tamiya’s ultra-luxe black-chrome finish. The Hornet Black Metallic will be a limited edition and is slated to include Tamiya’s new  TBLE-02S brushless-compatible speed control paired with a classic 540 brushed motor.
