1994 was a pretty wild year. Michael Bolton AND Snoop Dog both made the Billboard Hot 100. At the movies, there was The Mask, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, and Dumb and Dumber (clearly, it was Jim Carrey’s breakout year). It was also the 15th anniversary of the Happy Meal, so yeah, pretty awesome. As for RC Car Action, we were in the middle of The Great Stadium Truck Racing Explosion, and our June cover featured four top trucks: the Losi LX-T, Team Associated RC10T, Traxxas LS-II, and Schumacher Storm 2000. Yep, Schumacher.

Jim Newman’s Pit Tips include advice on strengthening side-by-side NiCad packs, soldering motor capacitors, and fixing Bolink body mounts. How times have changed. Can’t beat the art though–that’s ink on paper, no Adobe Illustrator here.
Electric starting was a brand-new thing in 1994, and KO Propo was on the case with the EG Starter. Today, Traxxas is the electric-start king.
