Traxxas “Brushless Edition” E-Revo, E-Maxx Now Waterproof With New MXL-6s Speed Control

Traxxas “Brushless Edition” E-Revo, E-Maxx Now Waterproof With New MXL-6s Speed Control

Between the venerable E-Maxx, with its original monster truck appeal and off-road performance that reshaped the genre with its release, and its futuristic cantilevered (and fellow RC Car Action Readers’ Choice Award-winning) cousin E-Revo, Traxxas has commanded both the electric monster truck category and many backyard tracks across the country. Until now, however, purchasing either meant you had to choose between a full complement of waterproof electronics, or a high-voltage brushless system capable of freeway speeds. With the new MXL-6s speed control created in conjunction with Castle Creations, now you can have both.

Fastened securely to the chassis of both the E-Revo and T-Maxx platforms is this new blue beauty, built to handle up to 25.2 volts of 6S brushless power and feed it through the 2200kV motor with 5mm shaft on the other end of huge wire fastened by 6.5mm bullet plugs. Combined with the dual waterproof Traxxas #2075 digital high-torque servos and waterproof box that protects the receiver for the iPhone and iPod Touch-ready TQi radio, the new E-Revo and T-Maxx Brushless Editions combine the best of both worlds. The included pair of 7-cell NiMH battery packs offer long run times and enough grunt for 35+ mph speed runs once the trucks breach cardboard and head toward the nearest patch of rain, snow, or mud.

I may be enjoying the warm Southern California winter, but these trucks are making me wish for rain. For more information on the new trucks and the MXL-6S speed control, go to Traxxas.com.
