Reader’s Ride: Joe Mergel’s Amazing 6X6 Semi

Dec 16, 2013 1 Comment by

This wild ride comes from Joe Mergel and is featured in the February issue of RC Car Action:

Yo, Joe! Cobra better watch out! Okay, sorry for the throwback humor but anyone from the 80s might take one look at this military beast and rekindle memories of great G.I. Joe vehicles. This custom 6×6 semi-truck was put together using Losi Night Crawler worm-gear axles and has some true crawling and trail-blazing capability. With a Mamba Max Pro speed control paired with a 17.5T brushless motor, this 6×6 has no problem getting around with its sextet of meaty 1.9 RC4WD FlashPoint tires that are mounted on some custom-painted bead-lock wheels. Love the military look and the overall custom work is fantastic. Thanks for sharing your hard work and creativity with us, Joe!
