Short-course 4X4s require a lot of muscle to get around a track quickly, a need Reedy engineers have met with this new mill: the Sonic 544 Mach 2. The 4-pole powerplant trims weight and runs cooler thanks to optimum venting and an aluminum end cap, says Reedy, and it certainly looks the business. Full press info below.
Recognizing the power requirements of 4×4 short-course trucks, Reedy has developed a 4-pole motor specifically for this application. Designed for competition, Reedy’s Sonic 544 Mach 2 incorporates several high-performance features to achieve maximum power output, efficiency, and durability.
A lightweight case reduces overall motor weight with strategically placed vent holes and an aluminum end cap to lower operating temperatures. Supported between dual precision ball bearings, the high-strength 4-pole rotor creates the torque necessary to power out of the turns and clear the toughest jump sections.
The Reedy Sonic 544 Mach 2 comes in two versions to achieve the perfect power profile for different track configurations and conditions.
