Uncovered – New Tekno RC SCT410 1/10th 4WD Short Course Truck

Dec 06, 2012 1 Comment by

At last weekend’s Top Notch Series season opener at SDRC, Tekno RC’s home track, we caught a few snapshots of the brand’s new 4WD short course truck called the SCT410 (the naming convention following their electric 1/8-scale buggy, the EB48). Rather than simply converting the EB48 for short course duty, the crew at TKRC has been taking its time refining a new design; the driveline runs straight down the center of the truck for maximum efficiency, and tall shocks at all four corners are mated with cleverly designed geometry for both jumping and cornering performance. Tekno RC founder Daniel Lewis told us that they placed a high priority on materials, choosing the correct composites and metals for the truck’s components to ensure durability and performance.

Tekno RC plans to release the SCT410 early next year, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. Stay tuned for a full review of the Tekno SCT410 in a future issue of RC Car Action.
