Horizon Air Meet 2012 – Race Track

This years Horizon Air Meet also brought the surface side of RC into the event in a big way, literally. Along side the Try Me Track in the main area, Horizon built a huge 1/8 size track and hosted The Horizon Air Meet Showdown for the weekend. At over 200 feet long, the track had just about every type of obstacle incorporated into the design but the largest feature was a 12 foot high drop off that lead you into a short shoot before the front stretch. Racers were able to pit under a huge tent with plenty of space for all and the pit area was a great opportunity to observe and talk to TLR team drivers Dustin Evan and Mike Truhe. Action on the track was exciting enough but Horizon took it to the next level bringing in Scotty Ernst to call all the action on the track as spectators watched from one of two grand stands. Here is a glimpse into all the excitement on the track all weekend.
