I just started rc racing ,can you switch your regular battary to lipo when you have a rtr out of the box?

  3. Trevor "Chilly" Duncan says:

Yes if your RTR speed control supports the extra voltage of the LiPo. It is also a good idea to make sure it has a low voltage cut off and you will also want to make sure your charger can charge LiPos properly.
