Pro-Line Sneak Peek! New Accessory For the Traxxas Slash 2wd!

Jul 12, 2012 1 Comment by

Pro-Line sent us over these spy shots of their newest accessory for the Traxxas Slash 2wd. Looks like the P Team has been working a racing chassis kit for the Slash to go along with their awesome Performance Transmission they released last month.

From what we can see the chassis looks a lot narrower and drops the center of gravity down. Hints of gold metal peaking out makes us think it may be a milled alloy chassis coming. The steering servo looks like its been moved into a lay down configuration on the centerline of the chassis with an all new servo saver style bellcrank system. Looks like they’ve got the Protrac suspension kit installed on this bad boy as well but our guess is the chassis will be a stand alone kit. Looking at the 2nd shot it appears that this is one tough customer. You’ll notice bracing molded into the side pods to make them stiffer as well as swept back nerf bars. Stay tuned for more details as they come out!

Associate Editor I can say that I’ve never done ANYTHING as long as I’ve been into RC. I got my first car when I was 11 and never looked back. Since then I’ve owned hundreds of cars and trucks and raced everything from Off-Road to Boats but I’m an Oval racer at heart. Whether I’m down siding a jump or going fast and turning left, it’s all on and my foot is to the floor! I love seeing new people discover our hobby and helping anyone I can enjoy it more. When I’m not racing or writing, I like to restore vintage RC cars and organize the Vintage Offroad Nationals. I’m also a dad and enjoy teaching my son how to drive and watching him get into this hobby on his own.

I knew this was going to happen. I was looking at photos of Pro-Line’s Performance Transmission, and saw this chassis in a few of the photos. It was a lightweight Slash chassis that I hadn’t seen before, I had a feeling it would be Pro-Line’s next Slash 2WD upgrade.
