The 26th Annual Arizona State Championships were held last weekend at SRS Raceway in Scottsdale, AZ. The track layout was designed by Ryan Maifield and implemented by the SRS crew. The technical, yet flowing design got unanimously good reviews by racers at all calibers.

Local pro’s, Team Associated’s Ryan Maifield and Durango’s Billy Fischer dominated the race. Maifield took home top honors in 2wd modified buggy, pro2 short course, and modified truck. Fischer won 4wd modified buggy and pro4 short course.

About the author

I started racing RC cars in the mid 90¹s and quickly developed a passion for the hobby. After a lengthy hiatus, nitro off-road racing got the best of me and I don¹t see myself taking another break anytime soon. I enjoy being behind my camera at races almost as much as being behind the wheel. When I'm not racing or writing about RC I stay very active playing hockey, soccer, biking, traveling as much as possible and of course, shooting tons of photos.
