Team Associated and Lucas Oil Marketing RC to the Masses–VIDEO

It’s no secret that short course trucks have pushed our hobby to a new level. Much of this has been accomplished by manufacturers reaching out to new markets. Traxxas can be seen at almost any sort of off-road racing event and almost all of the bigger manufacturers have sponsored a full size racing truck. HPI has made a good presence in the motocross scene.,Losi has a truck in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORS) and Team Associated has teamed up with Lucas Oil on a couple trucks in the LOORS circuit as well.

Below is a video of the Team Associated crew putting on a demo at the 2011 Sand Sports Expo in Orange County, CA. Ryan Cavalieri, Rick Howart, Richard Saxton and more were on hand to bash some SC10 short course trucks and show what our hobby is about to a new crowd of off-road race enthusiasts.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that multiple world champion Cavalieri gets beat by a 6-year old–twice.

About the author

I started racing RC cars in the mid 90¹s and quickly developed a passion for the hobby. After a lengthy hiatus, nitro off-road racing got the best of me and I don¹t see myself taking another break anytime soon. I enjoy being behind my camera at races almost as much as being behind the wheel. When I'm not racing or writing about RC I stay very active playing hockey, soccer, biking, traveling as much as possible and of course, shooting tons of photos.

Super easy to make. The whole track minus jumps were made with materiel’s from Home Depot.

The ramps are made by a company called ten-eighty. We just covered them in carpet.

That track has seen hundreds of laps and many different venues, still going strong.
