JConcepts Fall Indoor Nationals–NEW VIDEOS ADDED
I am at RC Excitement in Fitchburg, MA for the JConcepts Fall Indoor Nationals. There are 296 entries for this event this year. Two Qualifiers are being run Saturday and on Sunday there will be another round of qualifying with the mains right after.
The track layout is fast and on the easy side until you hit the dreaded jump section in the middle. Some guys jump all five while others double double single it. The dirt is hard packed and holding up very well. The guys here are running a great race; there haven’t been any issues. Some pro drivers such as TLR’s Dustan Evans, JConcepts’ Jason Ruona and Team Associated’s Brent Thielke are in attendance to help out the drivers and put on a good show for the crowd.
It’s Sunday and the last round of qualifying is happening now. Some guys have dialed in their cars and trucks but the dreaded jump in the middle is still tripping up the best of them. The track is starting to grove up and the dirt is holding up very well. After round three the mains will be set up and lots of prizes will be given away.
The A mains are happening now and there have been a few great races so far. In the 2WD mod race TLR’s Dustin Evans put on an incredible show with his 22T and really impressed the crowd.
In the 4WD short course mod main it was the Dustin show again. He started at the front of the pack and they never had a chance as he pulled away from the field. In 4WD mod Team Associated’s Brent Thielke dominated and took the win.
