First Round of Practice

RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | First Round of Practice

Day one is currently underway and the first round of practice has just come to a conclusion. So far only one American is seating in the top 10, TLR’s Mike Truhe. This is the first time any of the drivers have had a chance to actually drive on the new track design and judging from how the cars look on the track, it’s slippery. Many of the drivers mechanics were on site with slipper wrenches in hand waiting to make subtle adjustments to their drivers cars.

On another note, in keeping with tradition, many of the top manufactures have arrived with updated vehicles specifically for this event. The trend in change… chassis length. It seems that many of the manufactures have taken a page out of TLR’s recent 22 buggy design. So far from what I can tell, both Team Associated and Kyosho have longer wheelbase cars. Kyosho has gone one step further by adding a 2nd deck to their chassis made out what seems to be 2-3mm thick carbon fiber in order to further increase chassis rigidity. Could this be something to come or just another Worlds project that will never seen that light of day after then event? RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | First Round of Practice
