JConcepts Indoor Nationals Round 2: Ryan Lutz Wins 4WD Open Short Course Class

Ryan Lutz took the 4WD Open Short Course class win this past weekend at the JConcepts Indoor National RD2 race held at the Outback Raceway in Chico, California. Ryan’s DESC410R was on fire and he blitzed qualifying by taking all 4 rounds to go first on the grid for the A-Main. The 8 minute main meant Ryan had to stay cool to make the time – putting in consistently fast laps he eventually finished around a lap and a half in front of 2nd place and proved that the DESC410R is the only car to have in this class of racing – nothing else comes close.

Ryan took his DEX410 buggy out for its first weekend – Ryan normally racing only 8th buggy & Short Course. Ryan had a steep learning curve with 10th electric but managed to get things together and make the main. A battle for the lead for the last 3 minutes of the epic 10-minute main was cut short with only 30 seconds to go when the motor wire came off and shorted out. Ryan received lots of help from Tekin’s Randy Pike who’s been pushing the TD cars with his vast knowlege and experience and with Randys help Ryan is expecting a lot more from the HotRod Shootout this weekend.
