Team Associated’s Race Report On Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Rounds 3 And 4

Apr 30, 2011 No Comments by

Team Associated was on hand for all of the racing action at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by Geico Powersports, returned to the Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, AZ. Lying at the northwest corner of Phoenix’s urban sprawl, this track is always a great place to come back to, with warm temperatures and soothing breezes almost a guaranteed welcome. The stands were a nice place to be, as fans were again treated to a day of great racing, including some hotly contested battles in the big truck classes.

The Team Associated short course racers saw some success over the weekend with Sheldon Creed taking 3rd in Kart Modified in rounds 3 & 4. Carl Renezeder drove his Pro-2 to finish in 2nd and Kyle LeDuc finished in 2nd in Pro-4 in round 3. Carl also grabbed 2nd place with his Pro-4 in round 4, making for a total of five podium finishes for the Team Associated drivers—not bad for a weekend of hard work!

Be sure to stay tuned for the next LOORRS event at Glen Helen Raceway, May 21-22 in San Bernadino, California. If you do make it out to the race, be sure to stop by the Team Associated tent to check out the latest in R/C short course!
