It’s time to go racing!

Apr 15, 2011 3 Comments by

There are two things I like about the spring; it gets warmer and the racing season starts. I’m excited about running laps at Pin Shop Hobbies. I always have a great time hanging with everyone there and I enjoy running in the buggy and truggy classes. This year I think I’m going to switch things up a bit and add short course to my racing lineup. The only thing is that I’m not much of an electric guy so I’ll be running my Team Associated GT2 short course conversion in the mod 2wd class and I’m working on a nitro powered short course truck for the mod 4wd short course class. My GT2 has been run a few times and I’m going make a few adjustments to it for some improved performance. I think it’s going to do well this summer. And I can’t get my 4wd truck done fast enough. That’s going to be a blast.

Simply put, I’m all about nitro. Well, almost. I’m down with electric for crawlers and some indoor racing, but if you really want to get my attention, it better make some smoke and noise. I’m a regular racer and I usually go with 1/8-scale buggy and truggy. When I’m not racing, I am usually fabricating custom parts and even entire vehicles.

I ran my truck this weekend and it was pulling wheelies down the straight. Just a few more tweaks and it will be dialed. When you finish your truck bring it over to Pin Shop Hobbies. I’d love to check it out.

I’ve been waitin for this for a long time. I hate that they took the class away. I GT is just collectin dust I need something to do with it, and this is the perfect idea. Thats what I wanted to do with it all along.
