Won’t the motor heat up…but i know u mentioned it has great air-flow…but won’t the motor be heated under the shroud?

  2. Matthew Higgins says:

I’ve used Outerwears motor shrouds directly on a motor and didn’t have any overheating problems. They do allow for airflow. I’m sure they do raise temps a bit, but a 1-tooth drop in pinion probably lowers the temps more than enough and I’d only do that if you’re running close to overheating before you install the shroud

Outerwears is a little to late with this one :)

There is already a Glove / Cover out for the E-revo and its alot cheaper then the outerwears one and it does the job perfectly also.

U can find that glove on ebay ect.

  4. JT says:

The glove on flea bay does not supply enough air flow. Yes for winter months it would be fine but for people that want it for everyday use you will heat up to fast. The Outerwears cover is proven to provide more than enough air flow not just in RC. Also the glove was originally wrapped around the bottom of the chassis which would rip/tear after 1 run. Now they have revised it to the same specs as Outerwears. What does that tell you for the company. And the material the the “glove” uses is the same material used on RV/Motorhome covers. It is to dense and WILL NOT provide enough air flow for year round use.

The glove on ebay provides more then enough airflow as i never had any heat issues.

And im driving in temps at this moment that are around 10 to 15 degrees celcius outside with a nice sun in the air.

I am using the original glove and the shower cap style glove both and its perfectly fine.

Btw : the glove from ebay adapted to a shower cap style glove even before outerwears came out with there cover :)

  6. JT says:

Well we will see if that statement is true. I am getting the glove and the Outerwears cover and will be testing both.
