ROAR Officially Announces Classes for 2010 Electric Off-Road Nationals

ROAR today announces the 2010 Competition and Exhibition Classes to be contested at the 2010 ROAR Electric Off-Road National Championship.

The Class structure is a return to Stock and Open tradition of Buggy and Truck. 4wd Buggy will compete as an Open Division.

Two New Championship Crowns will be awarded for 2wd Short Course Truck in both Stock and Open Divisions and the 4×4 Short Course Truck will debut as a Demonstration Class.

The classes for the ROAR Off Road Electric Nationals will be as follows.

2WD Sportsman Truck (ROAR Sportsman National Guidelines)
2WD Stock Buggy
2WD Open Buggy (IFMAR Qualification Class)
2WD Open Truck
2WD Stock Short Course Truck
2WD Open Short Course Truck
4WD Open Buggy (IFMAR Qualification Class)
4WD Open Short Course Truck (Demonstration Class)

Stock and Open Classes are available for any ROAR Member to participate (privateer or any form of sponsorship). Classes that are listed “Sportsman” will fall under the new sportsman rules as found in the Nationals Guidelines which specifically discuss limitations on the racer pertaining to sponsorship and displaying of manufacturers in apparel and insignia on the vehicles.

Also, please watch for a spec list of speed controls to be applied to Sportsman level of racing in the very near future.
