Latest race news from Traxxas:

Anaheim, CA: Round 6 of the Monster Energy Supercross series got off to an excellent start for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki/Traxxas riders Josh Hansen and Jake Weimer, as both riders took the holeshot and the win in their respective heat races. Hansen rode to the checkers with a no-looking-back win, but Weimer had a few tense moments after he cased the triple leading the left-hander beneath the track’s over/under bridge. Second-place finisher Will Hahn used the opportunity to close the gap on Weimer, but Weimer skillfully held him off to secure the win. Weimer’s heat-race victory marked his sixth consecutive heat-race win, making him undefeated in Lites heat races for the 2010 season.

Trouble plagued the Lites Main, which saw several riders go down and caused the race to be red-flagged. On the restart, Will Hahn took the holeshot, followed by Trey Canard and Jake Weimer in third, down 2.27 seconds. By lap three, Weimer had narrowed the gap down to 1.8 seconds, but a heartbreaking crash on lap five followed by trouble restarting his bike sent Weimer all the way to the 20th place. With ten laps to go, Jake put his head down and went to work. Steadily picking off other riders, Weimer made it all the way back up to eighth before time ran out. Trey Canard took the checkered flag to win the battle for Round 6, but Jake Weimer is still winning the war with a 14-point hold on first place in the West Coast Lites series.

With Anaheim 3 in the record books, the 250 West Lites riders take a break as the Monster Energy Supercross series heads east. Traxxas will be there, sponsoring Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki riders Christophe Pourcel (reigning AMA Eastern Region Supercross Lites champion) and 2008 FIM MX2 Champion Tyla Rattray. The action kicks off Saturday, February 20 in Indianapolis, Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium. See it all on Speed, Sunday February 21, 5pm Eastern (2pm Pacific).
