WHIPZ RC Gloss

RCCARACTION Default Image

I had a 4-ounce spray bottle of Whipz RC Gloss for a few days before I had a chance to try it or a real need to use it. That opportunity presented itself when had to re-shoot the cover of the November 2009 issue—after we had completed testing. Besides a copious amount of track dust, my Losi Strike had a lots of scratches across the hood and roof from when I rolled it on first pavement (not so bad) and then at full speed doing radar testing on concrete (really bad). Testing of the RC Gloss was easy; I used a damp paper towel to get rid of most of the heavy dust and then liberally sprayed the body with RC Gloss. I used a micro-fiber towel to wipe off the solution of “cleaners, waxes and polymers.” I repeated this process three times, concentrating on the heavily scratched edges. RC Gloss significantly reduced the appearance of the scratches, thoroughly removed all dirt and left the body smooth and shiny. Check out the November 2009 cover to see for yourself.—Matt
