|In 2003, RC Car Action and Air Age Media redefined RC events with the launch of RCX, and the hobby hasn’t been the same since. RCX is the ultimate RC showcase and is the must-see RC event of the year. Now held in Pomona, CA at the popular Fairplex, RCX puts you right in the middle of the action. Of course, RC Car Action magazine and rccaraction.com were on the scene to capture all of the excitement. This year’s event was the best yet. The legendary dirt racetrack built by Joey Christensen of The Dirt fame was the biggest it’s ever been and we were all rewarded with some of the best and most exciting racing we’ve ever seen. When there’s money on the line, the pros at RCX don’t hold anything back. HobbyTown USA allowed you to take the excitement home by having a complete store onsite with scorching deals. A single ticket also got you full admittance into the Model Airplane News Expo, so if you like RC planes and helicopters, you could get your full with tons of manufacturers and vendors on hand as well as sick airborne demos going all day. The racing wasn’t limited to indoors, as this year’s event also featured an even bigger and better outdoor paved road course with plenty of racing action—everything from high-end 1/8-scale on-road racers to RC motorcycles. The variety at RCX is almost too much to absorb in only two days. You can feast your eyes on highly detailed 1/16-scale tanks and mind-blowing 1/6-scale tanks as well as awesome side-by-side drift car action.
If it’s RC, it was at RCX!
