The new E-Maxx is really a whole new truck. The chassis is all new and very cool. It’s longer (30mm) and much more stable. The batteries angle in and is super tough. The chassis braces are much more heavy duty. The radio gear is 100% waterproof. The tranny is totally new with bigger gears that are now metal; it’s 100% brushless ready. The T-Maxx 3.3 suspension arms and Revo drive axles are used.

I drove this truck and not just for a quick burst. It’s awesome. It’s got plenty of power and handles awesome. It really is a total winner. There’s really nothing to not like about this truck. I’ll be driving the V-Twin Concept truck later today, and will report back on that.–Matt Higgins

From Traxxas:

The new Traxxas E-Maxx takes 4WD monster truck thrashing to the next level of fun and excitement. Along with the incredible 16.8-volt EVX-2 dual-motor power system, key improvements have been engineered into the suspension, driveline, chassis, and electronics to make this the toughest, most versatile E-Maxx ever. E-Maxx innovates with sealed electronics for blazing new trails through water, mud, snow and other wet-running conditions that wouldn’t have been possible before. It’s a whole new world of 4×4 adventure and fun. The all-new transmission has been engineered to handle nearly 2½ times more torque, and yet do it in a more compact package. Wide gears, smart use of steel components, and the patent-pending Torque-Control™ slipper clutch all combine for the strength needed to handle the extreme power and torque that’s possible with today’s battery and motor technology. Revo®-Spec large diameter sealed driveshafts and sealed differentials are used for massively increased torque handling.

Dual waterproof high-torque servos drive a new heavy-duty bellcrank steering system with an integrated servo saver and smooth ball bearings. The result is the most powerful and precise Maxx® steering system ever. The new, long wheelbase chassis (+30mm) features scaleable battery compartments that fit today’s battery technology and beyond. New snap-lock battery hold-downs speed battery installation. Press a lever to release, snap them in to lock. Securing the batteries takes just seconds and there are no clips to lose. Everywhere you look on E-Maxx Traxxas engineers have thoughtfully integrated new enhancements and features that make E-Maxx stronger,

easier to use, and most importantly, more fun!
