RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | Radio Control Car Action Buggy Big’un

Take a perfect mid 70’s temperature fall day in New England and one of the Northeast’s finest 1/8th scale off-road tracks and put them together and you get the R/C Car Action and Wolcott Hobbies Buggy Big’uns Race.  The track had open practice on Friday with four rounds of qualifying on Saturday, followed by one last chance qualifier and the mains on Sunday.

Qualifying

Team Trinity’s Matt Chiechowski set the TQ pace in the buggy class and no one could catch him.  Lester Bastenbeck was the man to beat in the truggy class and it the production class it was Wade taking the number one starting spot for the main.

Mains

Bless worked his way to the font of the pack of 1/8-scale buggies to take the win in that class with Tim Powers right behind him in second and Mike Burton in third. The truggy class saw Lester up front until technical problems put him on the bench. That opened the door for Dave Najam who took the win. Bob Borrero took home second and Dave Sampieri took home the third place trophy. Bob Borrero made up for his second place finish in the Truggy class with a win in the Production truck class. Two laps behind him was Dan Fradette in second and Dave Sampieri took third.
