FROM NOVAK:

CRAWLING SLOWLY TO THE TOP

Irvine, CA – October 3, 2007 – As more and more drivers head toward rugged terrain instead of the smooth track, the need for more specialized crawler equipment has increased. With this in mind, Novak is pleased to introduce the Crawler 21.5 Brushless Motor (#3420). Though Novak’s 21.5 Brushless Crawler has many of the same great features as the Crawler 18.5 Brushless Motor (#3419), it has one key difference: It is even slower. With its super low-speed drivability and explosive torque, the Crawler 21.5 Brushless Motor is more equipped to tackle the harshest environments.

This specially-designed 21.5-turn brushless motor scales over other brushed motors because of its massive start up and low-speed torque, all without sacrificing power or control. This eliminates the need for a 3-cell
Li-Po pack, required by outrunner motors, which adds unnecessary weight to the rig. Novak’s lightweight brushless system can tackle the most challenging terrain on 2-cell Li-Po packs.

Additional features of the Crawler 21.5 Brushless Motor include sensor-based commutation for precise rotor position control; a high-performance sintered rotor for stronger motor braking power and improved performance in higher temperature conditions; an oversized front bearing for extra durability and extended life; ribbed aluminum end bells to reduce weight; and a solder tab system for flexible soldering options.

The Crawler 21.5 Brushless Motor is specifically designed to work with Novak’s brushless crawler speed controls, including the new Goat Crawler Brushless/Brush ESC (#3219) and the original Novak Crawler Brushless ESC (in system #3018).

Novak is the only R/C manufacturer that offers a crawler motor with such a low wheel speed. This gives crawler vehicles the ability to climb over, maneuver through and conquer the most challenging terrain. The Crawler 21.5 Brushless Motor (#3420) is scheduled for shipping end of October 2007. For more information about this product and other Novak products, visit the Novak website (www.teamnovak.com).
