RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | Spectators flock to Manufacturers’ Cup; Tebo and Maifield Win

Over 1500 spectators filled the grandstands at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho to watch 1/8-scale buggy and truggy racers compete for unprecedented prizes. In Pro Truggy, Team Associated/Futaba’s Ryan Maifield wheeled a Mugen MBX-5T to first place and won a $2,500 gift certificate from Les Schwab Tire Centers to outfit his full-size ride with the tire and wheel package of his choice. In Pro Buggy, O’Donnell/Futaba’s Jared Tebo won a brand new 2007 Yamaha YZ250F dirtbike, thanks to Spokane Yamaha. Sportsman racers won big too; all of the drivers in the Sportsman Buggy and Truggy A-mains went home with a case of Werks Racing fuel, a set of Pro-line wheels and tires, Pro-Line accessories, King Headz hop-ups and Racers Edge hop-ups. The top three in each class also won Fusion Motorsports/Novarossi engines. The top driver in each Sportsman class won a year-long factory ride with whichever vehicle brand they used to take the win. Randy Sides earned a sponsorship from Jammin Products and won a brand new Airtronics M11 by winning the Sportsman 1/8-scale class, and Randy Nolan won an Airtronics M11 and a sponsorship deal with Team Losi for winning Sportsman Truggy.
