Latest race news from Team Associated:

Team Associated/Reedy factory drivers Jason Ruona and JR Mitch headed to the 2010 Alabama Indoor Shootout with the sole intention of winning. Neither came away disappointed. A win from the TQ position for Ruona in the 1:8 Electric Buggy class comes on the heels of Ryan Maifield’s ROAR Nationals win last month. Team Associated’s RC8Be is quickly becoming the car to beat in this emerging class.

Jason Ruona’s RC8Be was equipped with a Reedy 40C+ 5000mAh 14.8V battery, which provided powerful performance from start to finish. Reedy LiPo batteries continue to showcase their capabilities at the most prestigious races worldwide. Slightly more expensive than some other brands, Reedy LiPo batteries prove that you really do get what you
pay for.

JR Mitch proved the versatility of Team Associated’s RC8B buggy platform with a win in the 1:8 Nitro class. Starting from the second position, JR took the lead on the
opening lap of the 45-minute main event and never looked back to take the win.

JR Mitch’s RC8B was powered by a Reedy 121VR nitro engine. A smooth power band makes the engine a dream to drive, while impressive straight-line speed keeps competitors in check. Once again, the 121VR proves that a powerful engine can also be a great value.

Congratulations to both drivers for their impressive victories!
