apparantly the dx3s wasn't cheap and fragile enough so they went with this. one model memory thumbs down. the purpose of buying a decent radio is to only have one transmitter.

Excellent and great for all enthusiasts, yes 1 model memory stinks however for the price, the features (receiver. servo, and nice radio), this is hard to beat, for those that say the purpose of a good radio is to eliminate radios, well true if you only race them, but if you bash with them, then with only one radio you can't let someone else use one without switching radios in and out of cars. Not to mention a spektrum receiver alone can cost around 75-100 by itself.

I think it great to include in an rtr because of the adjustability.

If you guys don't like this radio... look at the new Airtronics MX-Sport that is coming out. It's the same price... not to mention that it CAN: - Go 1,000 ft. (The Spektrum is mostly of the needed racing standards of 300 ft) - The MX-Sport has a 18-model/car/boat/etc memory. - and model naming. However, MX-Sport isn't as fast when it comes to reacting. (It's .100th of mili-seconds slower than the Spektrum shown here) Not to mention that it won't explain telemetry. Overall, I think those who are dieing for a Spektrum radio... well, here it is... the lowest costing of all other radios. I would like to see a price change to the DX2.0 and DX3.0 radios from Spektrum. They don't have telemetry and it makes Spektrum look cheap. The 2S is $30 more than the DX3.0... wow, and the Spektrum 2S has a model memory of 5 cars, including telemetry and the cool throttle adjustments... I think that's weird. No offense.
