STRC SC10 Option Parts

I had a blast with the stock Team Associated SC10, but like most of my vehicles, I soon wanted to upgrade it for better durability and performance. I decided to run my SC10 in my local mod racing class and wanted some added durability in the truck. STRC makes a number of SC10 hop-ups, so after a quick phone call, my package showed up in the mail a couple days later. I took the parts out of the bag and inspected them; they are definitely high-quality. The machining is topnotch and all the holes lined up perfectly with my truck. While putting the parts on the truck, I made sure to Loctite any screws that threaded into metal so they wouldn’t work their way loose. Installation was super easy and all the STRC parts dropped right onto the stock truck without modification. After I let the Loctite dry overnight, it was off to the track for some testing. I kept the stock motor and electronics in my truck for the time being because I wanted to test it as I was used to driving it. I started taking some laps and noticed some traction gain. The added aluminum parts gave the truck some weight that helped it grab traction while accelerating and cornering. I went through a full battery pack and everything felt great. The truck seemed to run a little more stable and everything was holding up fine. For my second battery pack, I really hammered on the truck. Since I had to already perform maintenance for an upcoming race, I figured I would really push it hard. I hit the vertical wall section and the big jumps full throttle. I then went over the rhythm section without slowing down. It was a ton of fun and at the end of the day there was no breakage. In my opinion, that’s always a successful day. I absolutely recommend the STRC parts if you want to add some durability to your SC10; they look fantastic and withstand tons of abuse.
