What is JBRL? For those racers that don’t live in the Southern California area, JBRL is the Jimmy Babcock Racing League (www.jimmybabcock.com) which is a popular racing points series that has multi stops at various tracks in SoCal. One of the reasons its popularity continues into its 9th season is because the best of the best in the SoCal area, which include some of the worlds best factory drivers, participate in the JBRL. Just think of it, if you happen to make the A-main on any given JBRL race day, you just might have racers like Dustin Evans or Mike Truhe standing besides you on the drivers stand aiming to take the win over you. There is the nitro series and the electric series that just had a recent stop at SDRC Raceway (www.sdrcraceway.com). For being a fairly new track, SDRC Raceway is quickly becoming a world class facility and had put in a fresh new layout at the beginning of the week before the weekend of the JBRL Round 6. At the end of this race day, with 200+ entries, 30 mains and 12+ hours of racing, some familiar names were on the podium in the modified classes. Check out the final results and podium shots below. – Joel Navarro
