The Reedy Touring Car Race of Champions is a prestigious event that can elevate a factory driver’s status and etch them in the RC racing history books. This year’s event is seeing closer races and tighter battles than ever before and with the end of Saturday’s Rounds of racing shows many drivers in contention for the overall win in the Invitational Class. However, not surprising is Infinity’s Marc Rheinard who is leading the way and driving well on his quest for his record-setting sixth Reedy Race title. The driver from Germany has always shown some of the best lines at Tamiya Raceway, and knocking him off the top step of the podium will be quite a feet. However, drivers like Serpent’s Viktor Wilck, Yokomo’s Meen Vejrak, XRAY’s Bruno Coelho and Yokomo’s Ronald Volker are still in the hunt and can be spoilers to Rheinard’s plans. Sunday will include the final rounds of racing and crown an overall champion. Stay tuned.
